A NWA flight diverted to Reno this morning due to smoke in the cockpit. A/C landed safely. It is currently parked at B8. A320 in Delta colors. Got some pics. Will post later. :coolglasses:

Thanx for the info, Mike. I'm happy it ended uneventfully and all on board are safe. It appears that she started back toward SFO but then decided on RNO, maybe because of the crummy weather and inbound traffic stackup at SFO. Average wait in the stack is 44 minutes; they would have been #1 when they arrived but it would have caused an even longer stackup. I'm a bit surprised they didn't head right to SMF and get her back on terra firma, but then, there were probably many factors involved. (Maybe SMF's weather is lousy too; I didn't check.) Anyway, they are safely down; that's great news. I was kicking around the idea of a few minutes spotting today, but conditions don't seem good enough. If we come into Reno anyway, I may invest a few minutes by the storage units. And there's a new location I want to check out; I found it on that new GOOGLE EARTH program that gives you a ground-level view and I want to go there to see if it has potential as a spotting location. Looking 4ward to seeing your pics of today's event.
