Last week at the RTIA (Reno Tahoe International Airport) we had some interesting passenger avctivity.

#1. a Skycap went ballistic on a passenger who almost ran him over in the crosswalk. Airport police was called in.

#2. A man in his early 20's fell to the ground with seizures. Transported to Renown.

#3. A CSR (Customer Service Rep) for Southwest passed out while taking boarding passes from passengers as they boarded their aircraft. Transported to Renown. She is fine and back to work now. =)

#4. A passenger was yelling at two Army Soldiers as they exited the B concourse. He was using profanity and calling them and Pres Bush MF's.
I caught up with him and told him to "shut it right now, or I was going to have him thrown out of the airport." He was cooperative after that. I still had Airport Police escort him until he got his baggage and left the airport.

#5. A women had her foot run over by a luggage cart. No transport.

#6. The fire alarm system went off in the main terminal due to the smoke alarm in ticketing going off. Still under investigation.

#7. A passenger was transporting "Bear Mace" in his checked luggage when it accidentally went off at the ticket counter of US Airways. We evacuated that portion of the ticket area and cleaned up the mess and brought fans in to clear the air. Things were back to normal within 30mins.
