Too Cool! The last time I saw a One-Eleven was when I flew on one out of KBUF back in 1968. Mohawk Airlines (later absorbed by Allegheny which eventually became US Air) was the first domestic US carrier to begin operating them. In '67, when I was 17, I would ride my 10-speed to KBUF on Saturday mornings, catch a morning 111 for Boston or NYC; then turn around and catch one back. The next day, I'd do it again. My last 111 flight was when I was 18 in '68, just a couple weeks before I left for boot camp. That's the last one I've seen. American Airlines flew the 111-400, and I had one flight on it when I flew from Buffalo to Cincinnati and turned around and came back. I've got pics (film) of both a/c I that I snapped back in '67 and '68; I'll scan 'em and try to post 'em.
