From what I'd read previously, a retrojet scheme would be applied to a 757, but they chose a different aircraft instead -- but this is the scheme I would have voted for. Something new to watch out for!

I don't like plane they chose to put it on, but the scheme is VERY cool!!! Hopefully one of us can catch it soon!
Thanks for the news Andre!

Ten-Four, Ryan! I totally agree with you. Why an Airbus? UA and Boeing just naturally go together; the livery should be on a 757. But, having said that, I always thought this livery and the earlier (1960s) one were the BEST liveries UA ever had, so I am truly hoping to catch this one someday. Odds are certainly not in my favor; I'd have to be tremendously lucky to be in the area right at the precise moment this one scheme was here, but it will make it much more fun while spotting to hope to catch it. And check out the font on the retro scheme; THAT'S the font that UA should be using on all the merger-livery aircraft. That "block" UNITED they are putting with the COA tail just has no flair; it's blah, super blah.
One more thought: I remember COA's "Proud Bird with the Golden Tail" scheme. Wouldn't it be GREAT if United painted one in retro COA colors?
(ADDED on Sat., April 9: Just looked. Didn't know that COA already HAS a retro scheme in the air. And, although it's not the "Proud Bird" livery, it does look pretty darn sharp!)
