Sun Country has a 3 AM arrival. If there is one, there will be more. Hazy skies this weekend due to the fire, but it looks like the weekend will be busy for charters.
I may try and get down to the airport tomorrow morning especially if anything else pops up on FA.

Same here. As you well know, SCX usually has a fast turnaround so odds are that this one will be gone before daybreak, but earlier this week I saw activity adjacent to Atlantic so I'm figuring that those who arrived here two weeks ago will now be leaving. And don't forget, two of those charters were a DAL 757 and a DAL 767. I've got your ph number; if I am anywhere near the fences I'll call it to find out if you're around too. Andre, you free? You mentioned maybe being around this Saturday....

Gary, I can be there early in the morning tomorrow (Friday) if I set my alarm! I am definitely around Saturday; those plans haven't changed. Will check FA early and if there's something interesting you can plan on me being there.

OK. Sunday is definitely out for me; as for tomorrow, right at this instant I'm not planning on leaving here at Oh - dark - thirty for this one SCX that will probably be gone, but I AM monitoring FA closely; if any OTHER airline or if those DAL 57s and 67s come back I'll make the drive in. I'm leaving Saturday wide open; that's when I expect the most activity. I'll keep checking these threads often to see what you and Ryan are doing, and to keep you each advised on my plans too.

Man, I hope one of you caught all those departures this morning, esp. the 57 and 67. I figured I couldn't get very good snaps in the predawn light, so I didn't come in, but the 7 AM DAL departure should have been pretty good to catch. Mike, old buddy, tell us you got all of those overnight charters. YeeHaa!

Andre and I both got the last SCX and DL 767! I also got the first SCX and DL 767. Mike stopped by and said hi, but I can't remember if he said he was able to get any photos.
Thanks again Andre for a great morning of spotting! :happy_thumb::happy_thumb:

Well done! Which runway did they use? The 7:30 DAL 67 was probably your best light, and if they were on the 16L-34R side the shots should have been perfection. I'm keeping an eye peeled for more SCX but not sure if I'll make the trip in even if they do come (unless they are spaced closely together). I'll be at SJC next week so I'll get my opportunity for varied birds then.

They were using 34L/R and the first 767 used 34R as did the last SCX.

Excellent! They were right smack-dab in front of you. I can't wait to see the pics. And remember, there will be several MC birds in and out today too.
One more around 1330:

Thanks for the heads-up on all of these, Gary. Quite the show this morning! I missed the first Delta but did manage to drive up, set up the ladder, almost fall off, and catch the first SCX just as it departed. Nice catching up with you, Ryan, after all these months, and seeing you, Mike, for the brief visit and "shouting match." I'll be watching out the window for more arrivals and post if anything interesting flies by.

My pleasure, Andre. If I see them on FA, I try to share the info so someone can catch them if possible.
I'm going to pass on the 1 PM SCX today; sun won't be optimum. I'll really watch for tomorrow's schedule.
Will be visiting SJC next week. Also, possibly, MRY (small but has regular CRJ service).
See ya soon, I hope, like tomorrow.
Another expected at 1812:
